BigFix Self-Service Software Installation

Aggie Desktop provides self-service installation of common software titles through the BigFix Self-Service Application (SSA). This allows end users to install common software without requiring administrative rights or credentials on Windows and Mac computers. Whenever possible, applications installed through self-service are patched using the Aggie Desktop BigFix Patching service.

Campus units may subscribe to this service at no cost instead of or in addition to managing their own BigFix self-service offers.

BigFix is an endpoint management tool that can be used to manage Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS computers. BigFix is centrally licensed at UC Davis and available to all campus units for management of client endpoints.
